I have 5 seeds that are 5 years old. I'm trying to start them inside. What are my chances of getting them to germinate? If they do not, I'd like to get some seeds. Any ideas?

I tried seeds for practice this year, 8, 9 and 10 years old. All came up just fine within 48 hours.

This is my rookie year and purchased a Richards 1468 seed from 2007 from P & P Seed Company for 25.00.

It germinated in less than 4 days on a heat mat at 85 F.

I would say 5 year old seeds are still very healthy and vigorous is stored correctly.
