Hal, I've been slowly giving them some natural light and the plants have responded quite well growing really strong.

For about a week I keep them under the light all the time 24 hours a day. Then after about a week (when I see that first true leaf) I have them under the light during the day and then I bring them out to my garage at night in the dark. I do this for another week. Of course, if it's a really nice sunny day I put them outside on my deck instead of the florescent light. I still put them in my garage at night for that last week.

I run mine under lights 14 hrs on 10 off once first leaf starts showing I place them on deck in direct sun a couple hrs everyday to harden off then straight into hoop once nights are above 5 Deg

I try to keep it the same as the sunset and sunrise times, I want it to be as similar to outdoor conditions as possible. I think this may lower stress levels on the plant when they are moved outside to acclimate.

Ive been keeping the plant under the lights 24 hours a day when the son is out they go outide for a long as my scheduel allows. Shortly i'll be keeping them in the shed at night to harden them right off.
