My first true leaf is out and getting big. Is there usually just one second leaf opposite of the first true leaf? In my experience, yes, but that is limited. This year I have double leaves like twins coming out as the second leaves and to both sides of the first and not opposite. Anyone else ever get this? Thanks

in the very early stage they can come so quick the stem isn't growing very fast yet; its hard to tell which is which. If the next set and the one after that come out exactly the same? Double vine -- trash it.

Is a double vine like a double main? Could I just cut one? Thanks

Amelio, I see no leaf twisted below. The 2 that are out are twin second leaves. It does look like the beginning of a double vine after using the search function. I'll give it a little time, but fear I'm already down to one plant this early on.

Start some more backups there is still plenty of time. It would have to be a really special seed to get caught up in messing around with a double at this early age.
