Subject: diseases and seeds?

Will the elimination of diseases when you are germinating cause less problems later on when the plant is growing Can problems such as stump rotting or other problems be traced back to infections in the seed itself? The reason i ask this a grower that has gummy vine disease was told that it could have been in the seed itself,the compost or any number of sources.All opinions welcomed.

Ive been told that some fungal diseases can be carried in the seed,spec. fusarium.2nd hand info

Is there anyway of decontaminating the seeds before you plant?

Virus's can carry over in seeds per Michigan State University.Some seeds may have it while others may not in the same kin.There is no way to eliminate this in the seed per MSU.

Do you make that mix or can you buy it in N.A.? If i have to have it made what amount of each product do you use? Thanks everybody for your answers.
