I want to plant today as ny plants are rapidly outgrowing their pots and a first leaf is not fully out. not sure which was the leaf will go, will the vine be in front of the fold of the leaf or behind?

The main vine will, most of the time, grow the opposite direction of the 1st true leaf. What size pot did you use? I use a 1 gallon pot when I have them under florescent lights. I find a 1 gallon pot is big enough to allow enough time for the 1st true leaf to grow to the size you see in The Wiz's picture.

Thanks to both of you.

I made an estimated guess on which way the first true leaf would be based on which way would make the leaf the right way up.

Sorry about the initial post, I was typing on my phone so mispelt most of it.

The seedlings were sown on the 9th and broke the soil surface on the the 13th. Would you say they were 9 days old or 4? Either way they are doing great, nice big cotlydeons that almost hang over the sides of the 1 gallon pot and roots are popping out the bottom so I fugured it was time.

The weather is 65F in the grow house and the forecast isnt expected to change over the next 7 days. Its wet and cloudy... mother nature showing me who's boss.

Nice,

Well we keep mother nature busy...in the hoopZ I cover them at night with blankets to keep the heat in till the dayZ warm....I create a smaller metal frame and use a quilt as we can get temps down to 32 still here.....Good Luck.....

Thanks Wiz, if it wasn't pi**ing it down at the moment I would have the patience to make a frame to go in the hot house. Its not forecast to be particularly cold so I'll have to see what she's made of.

Good luck!
