Who else is planning to grow this seed this year? I just successfully germinated it yesterday and I'm very excited. Out of all the seeds I germinated (for practice or otherwise) most of the time after 48 hours in the germination box the sprout is between 1/4" and 1/2". Yesterday, after 48 hours, the 1789 Est. Wallace had a sprout that was at least one and a half inches long (1/8" thick). Much longer than any other seed I've germinated before. I feel as though I have, "awoken the freak"!!! :-)

Mine's up and looking good. I took it to my local nursery and put in their germination chamber after it did not come up in 4 days. It did not take long.

Just to give an update... I transplanted the 1789 seedling to a one gallon pot last night. It was completely out of the soil and about 1.5" tall. The other seeds that I germinated at the same exact time are just now peaking out of the soil. The 1789 is in HIGH GEAR. I already love this plant and it's only a few days old. :-)
