Just wondering why a couple of people have decided to dump on Tom P. and the Extreme Pumpkin Store. Is it pumpkin envy or business envy. He and his company should be commended by all for his contribution to our community. I believe most of us feel this way. Let's tell him so. Thanks for all you do! Woody

Tom's a great guy. He takes tons of phone calls a week talking over soil tests and any other questions someone might have. Not to mention the 1000's of miles traveled to growers meetings.

thank you Mr.Topsfield for starting this post, tom and kim are the greatest, now as with everyone on this site, we dont buy all of our products from tom, you dont have to, tom is not making you buy them, but tom has some very great products that we all need, there is no need for ANYONE to discredit his business. a couple of years ago i called tom about growing pumpkins and how i could get better at it, and i got the feeling from him that he truely cared about me as a grower, not just another costumer for his products, the reason i felt this way was after 2 straight hours on the phone (and trying to get him to stop talking) it showed me he cared a lot more about what i was doing, and not the sales end of his business! and what other company will ship you candy in your order? its the little things in life that matter, and tom and kim , in my book you both matter! scott..

Tom is awesome and will always take time not only being a salemen, instead tom actually cares how you do and will take time to explain product and how best to use it. and lol he will also tell ya if a product he sells wont work for what you are doing which is an amazing quality in a salesman. He also will just talk kin growing, and seed choice and analyze soil tests. How could you ask for more. Ignore any silly posts its not tom you got to worry about its the source of such dribble that should be questioned.

tom helped me when i was in a bind last year, was very patient and understanding thru it also.he has always answered my questions and a lot of others as well, while not trying to sell his product.as jam said, he'll gladly tell you not to buy something if he knows it wont help your situation.i for one dont think for a second its about the money, but he really wants to help his customers achieve the goals they are after.and how many salesman are as accessible as tom, you can reach him by phone or just catch him in chat pretty easily. kudos tom

This is my first year out and started getting my supplies from another person around these parts. I had all this stuff and no idea how to use it. I found Tom here and told him what I wanted to do,,,,, he had me add a few more things I might need this coming year and then spent the time teaching my how to use them. I was so excited I wanted to order more stuff,,, Tom told me to relax and that I would be just fine with what I had! If he were a sell, sell, sell, sell type of guy I'm sure I would of broke the bank,,,,,Thanks Tom for all the help and listening to all my newb questions!!!!

I'm not sure who Tom P. is. But, the guy I buy most of my stuff from is pretty good at it. He seems to know what he is talking about and looks over my soil test results. The best thing is he gives me Jolly Ranchers, Starburst and Bottle Caps to throw in the back seat to keep the Jackels happy until we get home!

I have know Tom since his early beginings here on bp.Hes like a big cuddly bear,a heart of gold, a valued friend with great drive and determination as well however, if you poke at him enough? just like that big cuddly bear? he will charge forward.
TO MUCH ATTACKING ON THIS SITE. PEOPLE NEED TO GROW UP AND REMEMBER THAT THIS SITE IS NOT LIKE A BACK AND FORTH TEXTING SERVICE. We are not little kids playing with a silly communication devise? or are we?
Growers often wonder out loud why some of the hobbies big time growers dont post very often ? ( if at all )Its that bunker mentality of some that does not help matters much now does it?
Just because you can does not mean you should.

The reason I became more involved in this hobby is credit to Tom's site. It is incredibly difficult to find some of these products in certain areas. In my eyes ,his site allowed a beginning grower to find the products that the real heavy hitters were using with ease. I don't buy everything from extreme pumpkin, but it's a great option to have.

Who is this Tom guy...is he the other half of Bob and Tom...Or is he the reason the call it Tom foolery... I like that he has products in a quantity that a grower with one pumpkin can use, and purchase at a reasonable price.

Tom has always treated me right, even the pesky phone calls about the time I'm trying to get an order the way it should be... I've always been gungho for Tom and his business but that's because he's always treated his customers right AND has good products. Kudos to Tom and Kim!

for us folks down at the bottom of the world, we really really love to read posts from the more established folks.... "the olde boys" and soak up all your info. we have soaked up so much info that we have now proven ourselves with a top 10% pumpkin. ...... and as being kiwis.... we are always polite to our elders and mentors. its a big world out there, and ratbags will always turn up, but for the genuine and experienced on this site, there will always be LOTS AND LOTS of keen followers...... some old and alot new. please dont think of the negative, you guys are way better than that. ps.... we sold a lazyboy chair today and the folks who bought it came around to pick it up today, and saw our pumpkin in the paddock..... they were so excited to see it, they couldnt stop talking about it.... so after an hour of gasbagging we gave them a pile of seeds and they left with a grin from ear to ear!... pumpkins eh!... you got to love them.
