Who do you think will grow the biggest one in 2012? And what weight will it be?

I'm gonna guess: Ron Wallace, 1864 lbs.

Don't be surprised if the Brysons repeat.
They not only have the record but their three best total of 5094 lbs also beats everyone else I believe.
This is despite only growing for a few years.

Nice one Eddy and you know what he'll probably still come in second with his luck. Also because I will hit 2000.5.
Seriously I dont have a specific person in mind but I think it could very well be west coast and somewhere between Eugene Oregon and Napa California.

I don't think the weather cooperates with repeats too often. The West coast had a good year last year, too. I think it is the midwest's turn and we will weigh a 1911 lb fruit at Stillwater this year.

I'd like to say me... but lack of experience puts me at a disadvantage. I am hoping to break the 1200+ barrier or more. There are way too many great growers to even begin to guess. Good luck to everyone in this great sport!

to many excellent growers and to many weather variables to know for sure. i would name at least the top twenty possibly thirty of the hobbies known big time growers for sure.
personally ? if we can get everything out of our pumpkins potential-we could not ask for more.a world championship or world record is the bonus.

Don't count out California. I can think of at least six growers who could do it in 2012!

There are a lot of good growers around the world that could pull it off. We saw the boundries challanged this year with big weights coming from all over, including Alaska, New Zealand, California, Europe, Northern Ontario and Southern Quebec.

As we saw this year, Canada is back in the game. There are at least a dozen growers up here that could do it, no problem. Remember, it takes a certain amount of luck to hit the jack pot, but some guys make their own luck! My prediction is some big ones from Ontario and Quebec again this year!

I'll guess Kevin March with 1875 lbs. He's been a top grower in this region for quite awhile(very consistant). I think of him as the upper midwest's version of Quinn Werner. Lately the weather has been awesome up here. If the weather cooperates throughout the growing season, he could grow a real whopper! Based on the few times I've met him, he's a true gentleman as well.
