Does anyone know where I can get a random number generator to put in a power point presentation? Please limit the detail of your response to a virtual computer illiterate level. lol

Thanks in advance!

Wayne, i'm guessing we're on the same wavelength! lol

I would really like some sort of a digital app that can be inserted into a document.

Tom I can find several of them that I can use 'on-line' however I want one that I can 'insert' into a powerpoint presentation or have as a separate file that can be opened on the computer without being on the web.

You can do this in Microsoft Excel:

If you're looking for a random number between 1 and any other number, let's say 300 you simply type in the cell this formula:

=RAND()*(300-1)+1

Excel will generate a random number between those two figures. If you want the generator to determine a figure either greater than or less than 300 simply change that number in the formula. Each time you enter the formula the result will be a different result (random).

Hi Jim,

I doubt there is one readily available and that is built into PowerPoint, so I built you one real quick. It will generate a number between 1 and 10000. You can download the PowerPoint here http://tools.pumpkinfanatic.com/tmpRandomNumber.html You will need to trust the content when prompted since there is some minor coding. The slide is interactive and you can click the button and generate the number on the fly. You can copy the slide to your PowerPoint presentation, but you must save the file with an extension of PPTM so the code can run. If you have any questions, let me know. If you need me to get the slide into the powerpoint presentation, just send me the presentation and I can send it back to you.
Best,
Andy
