good question Martin, I'm gonna plant Ron's damaged pumpkin and it's a toss up between Paps damaged pumpkin and the 1596 Wallace. I really like the 1596. I posted a similar question after our weigh off last year. Gotta lot of responses. I think that seeds from Ron's damaged pumpkin will certainly be planted by a ton of growers and I do think that it could be the next big sought after seed in the world. Also The 1495 Steltz looks like plenty of people of growers will plant it. A friend of Mine planted the 1495 no male flowers where present on the entire plant but once pollinated from another pumpkins flowers, it grew crazy till it split. It was pollinated about ten days later then optimal dates however I believe it could have hit well over 1500 lbs with a little bit of luck. Sadly it did split at over 900 lbs. but the growth was there and impressive growth it was. I think the 1495 may be the seed this year.

Does anyone have a spare 45 Grimes? That would be a good one for Amelio. Ah, they've probably all been grown out by now.
Jeez, I'm checking the respondents in this thread, I doubt many were here when the 45 Grimes was THE seed.
Back on track...sorry....the 1807 Stelts could be a good one in 2012. 1161 Rodonis, 904 Stelts, 1678 Hunt, 1662 Stelts, 901 Hunt in the immediate backgroud. Perfect Storm.

I remember the 45 Grimes. I didn't mind Jorden, he was just a overly eager kid.

I'm giving the 1080 Hunt my top spot next year, I think it will blast out a monster or two in 2012. There are also several Van Hook crosses that look like potential world-beaters.

I agree with PumpkinJesus about the 1080.6 Hunt. I grew it last year and it grew our 922.5 Briggs, 17% heavy in a bad weather year with not a lot of time put into it. I also like the 1582 Werner.

I find it odd that we have a new world record this year I don't see the 1404 or 1818.5 Bryson seeds on anyones wish list. Last year everybody was scrambling trying to find out how they could get Chris Stevens seeds and they were on everyones wish list. What gives? Is it just because these are Canadian seeds? Just curious.

I agree I think that there are alot of top notch seeds out there now and I really like the 1657 Bryson along with the 1495 Stelts. Another one that nobody has really looked at is the 1095 Wallace (1468 X 1810). I think it has alot of power and I would like to give it a try.
