I can't find the official code of conduct for bp.com. I want to make sure I am within approved limits when I am tempted to make comments about someone/something.

Maybe someone else could benefit from this besides me.

Yeah, I understand, his gun is loaded with special pumpkin police bullets...look like blanks, don´t hurt any decent pumpkin nor any (even more decent) grower on the patch, but will appear as giant crazy J-o-Ls (as a first time warning) or as orange flashlights or white ball lightnings, depending who needs to be scared off the patch and off the thread. Linus, thanks for posting that. Apparantly those are rules on paper only. I have entered a complaint about a prolific message board contributor who has posted several personal and discriminatory attacks, but with no success. I guess more people need to complain.

We should all get together and take a vote. Then get some horses and get a rope. I have been reading everything, what I have seen is some toes stepped on, some strong debate. Even if there was some of the rules broken things are calming down now. Also most of the personal attacks have come from Some BP members. The truth about standing in group is that toes get stepped on. But if we can't forgive it will hurt the group.

Some of us choose not to ignore some of the stupidity, it seems an idiot has us arguing amongst ourselves. I am here to learn about how to grow pumpkins, you?

The mission of BigPumpkins.com is to provide an interactive web site to the giant pumpkin growing community! We would also like to promote the exciting sport/hobby of giant pumpkin and giant squash growing by helping new comers get started.

I started this thread because I was feeling nasty and didn't want to get kicked off BP.com for being nasty online.

Ignoring dweebs and dweeb remarks is an effective and socially appropriate way of saying "**** you!".

Following Dutch Brad's example is another way of dealing with boorish behavior.

I hope we all can focus on the purpose of BP.com and try to be civil and helpful to each other, even when disagreeing.

Dissing each other ain't goin' to help grow no pumpkins.
