I am coming to visit relatives in Brighton, Ontario next August from the United Kingdom. Flying into Toronto probably Early August. I have been hooked on BP.com and pumpkins for the last few months and have been given some great seeds for next year and my patch is looking good. I realise that you have some top growers over there and wondered if any of you were in this area and would accept a visit and show me around your patch?

There are a few great growers in that area, hopefully they chime in here. You may want to post this on the GVGO site as well. Let me know if you plan on heading Northwest of Toronto. I'm about 30 minutes outside the city and there's a couple nice patches you could tour up this way.

Cheers, I don't know the area and haven't fixed plans up yet but it would be great to have a look at what you guys do up there.

Depending on the length of your stay, you may be here for the GVGO annual patch tour. You'll see at least 4 patches and meet 50 or so fellow growers.

Wow that would be fantastic, what date is that? I haven't booked dates yet but might be able to gently push the boss to go when tour is on!!

Nothing has been decided as of yet. We generally set the area and date at the spring meeting. Usually it's the second or third weekend in August. The issue you may have is where. Ontario is a very big province and distance from Brighton may be an issue. Maybe you can hitch a ride or make you holiday sight seeing around a near-by location. We'll keep you posted.
