How often and when are you taking soil and tissue tests?

I just do soil test in the fall and spring, but many of you do them more often, what growing stages do you do them. Tissue test when, where on the plant do you take the sample.

Great question Bill. I'm curious to hear some replies to this.

I have always done a fall test and most years a spring test soil test, as far as tissue sampling, low budget I would test right before or at pollination time, if you are high budget I would do one early, at pollination, early august and sept.
If I remember right they want the most current mature leaf on the main, so about 5 leaves back from the growing tip.
