Yesterday at the GPC Colorado Springs Weigh-off, I set a new state records for NEW MEXICO for giant pumpkin at 448 lbs, a new state record for giant squash at 340 lbs, and a new state record for long gourd at 80". I also grew a giant marrow record of 62 lbs. and a giant pear gourd of 103 lbs. They may not be huge by world record standards but it is hard growing these giants at 7000 feet altitude with a short growing season.

Yes you did Jannine.... I am Working with the site to get the results posted. Should not take too much longer.
The Springs event was the best ever, they estimated over 3000 people graced the event. The vendors all came out and applauded the growers as they were the busiest they have been in several weeks from what they told me.
Prior to the event, they had told me this was the last year they would be doing this. After great a showing and participation like what Jannine brought in from New Mexico, this changed their minds.
Sorry I didnt beat you to the post JCAB, because you did bring in one heck of a haul.
Too much stuff for WiZZy to do... but here we go:
Barry Tood took first place with the Site award at 751 pounds. Second Place was Marc Sawtelle, with a big greenie at 737 pounds. Third Place - Doug Minix - 448 lbs Fourth Place - Jannine Cabossel - 448 Pounds and the New New Mexico State Record! Yes we had a tie and had to flip a coin for the ribbon.... Fifth Place - and Howard Dill Award Winner - Tom and Kathy Rupprecht 6th- Ron Franzen 392 pounds. 7th - Benny and Erin Lewis 356 lbs. 8th - Andrew Cronk - 343 pounds. 9th - Ken & Beth Barrett 336 10th place ribbon went to Scott and John Reeder 150 lbs...
Great job done by all, the data will go up as soon as I get access to the site.
Thank You for making it all special.
