Thanks, Ken. If these guys spent as much time growing AGs as they do hacking, they'd be growing some serious pumpkins.

I can see your reason for wanting to cross the AG and Salix sachalinesis yet it certainly doesn't deserve any type of agressive negative behavior. AGs are a cross of hubbard squash and kabocha genotypes which are in the C. maxima cultivar and have similar genetic traits and are compatible. It's interesting to see the compatiblities of other cultivars. No wonder German growers are getting better and better - when you are trying to improve like this! Good luck in your efforts.
