I got started real late. I tried a couple of years ago and didn't do to good. Gave up after I had a couple kids. Didn't have time. Now my son helps me and now I got the BUG!!!! Didnt pollinate until august 7th. Right now we have 2 pumpkins the biggest is about 350 lbs. My pb. So we will se what we can do next year.

On a 66 day old 1622 Young (970)pounds,Howard Dill winner. And a 65 day old 1520 Sperry (716) pounds, both at the Iowa State Fair on August 12th. And a 1596 Wallace which will be 92 days old on October 1st and hopefully it will weigh close to a ton.

one 900+ lbs with BES, two 600+ lbs, and two 300+ lb. not bad for a late start. I didn't even turn the sod for my patch until mid May. Learned alot.

Ist year with AG's 1332 wolf taping at 1080 on 410sq feet of plant 870 wolf taping at 750 on 236 sq feet of plant

I just found my pumpkin rotted from the inside out. I cut it open and found it was 3/4 full of clear water and goo. It was gross. I got a lot to learn. Can't wait til next year.
