Hiya
What is the best place to get the little yellow coloured seed envelopes everyone uses? Well all the seeds I have received from the US seem to come in them?
Have had a hard time trying to find some over here.
Thanks in advance

They are coin envelopes. Coin dealer or stationary-office supply store.

Hiya Sam,
They are actually coin envelopes and can be found at just about any office supply store here. Also Hollands Land O Giants (http://www.hollandsgiants.com/grow.html) and the Extreme Pumkin Store (http://www.extremepumpkinstore.com/ecom-catshow/misc.html) both carry them.

Thanks for that, looks like you can only get plastic ones here, will have to get from overseas.

IF you use the plastic seed bags just make sure the seeds are good and dry so that they do not get black spots on the seeds .

WTNY,
That's precisely why I prefer paper coin envelopes for packaging seeds. As secretary and "seed handler" for our group, I have often received seeds in plastic which appear to be OK when they arrive but mold later, completely wasting the seed(s).
Paper allows the seed to "breathe" and maybe dry just a bit more.

All i could find at the stores around here are huge 500ct boxes for like $30. I dont need that much! I have been storing seeds in plastic for many years with no problems. What I do when I use plastic bags is dry the seeds very good(of course) then put a small pinch of white rice in with the seeds to absorb moisture. Just like people do with salt shakers to keep moisture out of the salt.

Check craft stores. They sometimes have small envelopes and plastic bags for crafters' needs.
