Condolences to Joe Scherber who lost a beauty of a pumpkin yesterday to a spot of rot. The pumpkin estimated in the 1440’s and if it would have lasted another week more than likely would have been a new Colorado state record. The pumpkin was fairly thick and very likely would have gone a little heavy. The pumpkin was grown off the 1725 Harp seed and is maybe one of the more interest crosses done this year. He put the 1725 Sweet clone (1161 Rodonis) into it. Pictures of the pumpkin will be in my diary shortly.

Sorry to hear that Joe, sounds like a Huge pumpkin! Dang the 1725 has had a good year already and the weigh-offs are just getting started!

Its really gonna be interesting to see how other seeds have done. To my undertanding a ton of the HHers wait a year to see how the seed makes out so far the 1725 has proven itself, it seems to be the favorite seed this year along with the 1161. The genetics this year are so good a lot of growers have crossed the 1725 with other great producing seeds.
