Well done to Peter Glazebrook who smashed the world record with a 17LB 15.oz onion today. Technically the onion record has to be one of the hardest to beat and Peter has been trying to get the record for years.

Peter is the Onion Man... Mine was 5lbs this year and was huge..17lbs would make one heck of a Blooming Onion. Was it his own seed?

At the end, he did it ! Few weeks ago, I send my best wishes to Peter and I was sur he will be abbe to beat that record. The cc of his best onion was ahead of his PB so record would fall. Congrats Peter, that's a super record, really hard to break. Another World record for him, just amazing !

The onion and potato records were two very difficult records to beat, and he broke them both this year! Well done! Imagine the stew he could make with his 11 lb potato and 18 lb onion!
