a heavy frost will of course kill the leaves but you can expect continued pumpkin growth for around one week after. providing you blanket the fruit of course. pap

If you wash the frost off before the sun comes out the damage wont be as severe, turn sprinkler on at 5 am

Mid to low 20's will definitely kill the leaves, but your vines should survive. Cover the fruit with a blanket, and cover as much of the plant as you can. Start with the main vine and work back to the stump. As long as the vines are living they will continue to nourish and hydrate the fruit. Keep it on the vine until it's time to move it.

just an fyi we had a super hard frost here, upper 20's and I had my sprinkler on all night, walked out to a giant icicle patch, pretty much considered everything toast! Turns out the ice protected the leaves, unreal been doing it for years just never that severe! Good tip to remember!
Not that anything in my garden is growing right now though!
