Giant Pumpkins NZ

Hamilton - New Zealand

Hi, i'm not sure if this has been covered elsewhere, so apologies if it has.

My flatmate is heavily involved in the Bonsai scene here in NZ, and gets a whole bunch of magazines from around the world on Bonzai.

My question is, with the widespread popularity of growing giant pumpkins all over the place, has there ever been a magazine for giant pumpkins? Or anyone thought about it?

Or has the internet and awesome sites like this made it not a realistic option?

Was just wondering as there seems to be magazines on everything else under the sun.

There isn't as far as I know. Newsletters and websites take the place of a magazine.

Although I would like to see a "Pumpkin of the Month" centerfold.

Giant Pumpkins NZ

Even if it was once or twice a year, with coverage of all the happenings for the year. I'm sure there would be enough stuff to fill it, and a lot of ppl would buy it.

thats a great idea gpNZ

when you consider all the research, editing, and printing costs? plus ya still gotta sell and mail it out?it would take dedication and a great staff of people with knowledge and connections.it could also be a huge profit maker what with volumn and advertizing sales ,etc?
personally i think its a great idea and would best be served being published by an existing club.
i can think of a couple clubs out there with the knowledge, drive and pockets to get-er-done.could be a very profitable venture.
