I know this isn’t the place to post this, but I want to share in case it can help others. But 2 months ago, I developed bad acid reflux. It was awful. Wake-up in the morning and thought I was going to die.
    
I tried the usual Zantax and Tums. Helped, but not a lot or for long. Then someone told me to try apple cider vinegar and water. Which helped a lot in comparison.
    
But then someone told me about the craziest sounding folk cure. 1 part baking soda and 3 parts maple syrup. Either slow heat on the stove or quickly in a microwave. I figured the joke was probably on me, but what would it hurt to try it.
    
I’ve been putting ½ teaspoon baking soda and 1 ½ teaspoons of maple syrup in a small juice glass. Then nuking it for 10 seconds. It foams up and I’ve drinking it 4-5 times a day for 3 days.
    
I can’t believe it, my acid reflux is all gone. Just a tad this morning when I woke-up, but I did the above and it’s gone.
    
The guy who told me this claims it even cured his sister’s cancer. Which might be a little over the top. However, I can’t believe how well it works for acid reflux and I’m guessing most stomach problems. What could be in maple syrup to do this?

Acid reflux can feel like a heart attack and vice versa. Thanks for sharing the home remedy, but you may consider addressing the issue with your healthcare provider before the stomach acid erodes a hole in your esophagus or give you a bleeding stomach ulcer. Both of which will can make it hard for a person to grow big pumpkins.

18 months ago I had a kidney stone too big to pass, so the doc put in a stent and gave me bicarbonate of soda pills to try to dissolve it. It was a uric acid/gout stone. It didn't work on the stone but it did stop all reflux for the month I was on it. I ended up on omeprazole and that works good. Dan has good advice: see your doctor. There might be other problems.

See your Dr. My mom treated her stomach pain with Peptobismo. When we finally got her to the Doc. and scoped it was to late. Cancer of the colon and stomach. She lived 1 wk.
