I don't think Dale knows what a gradual learning curve is. The last 3 years went from 500+ to 1101 to who knows what this year and that beast. Good luck!

all i can say about Dale M's pumpkin is WOW... Espically in his growing area!

His self and the growers in Alaska have DOUBLE the work just to keep up on giving their plants a warm area to grow. ALOT OF HARD WORK AND DEDICATION THERE FOR SURE.

Although driven by lack of other males rather than a deliberate decision, it was perhaps the best thing to have this female selfed. Your seed must have contained all the best genetics of its parents. May it go heavy in addition to big and orange, may it develop many many good seeds with the BEST OF of its genetics. Good luck!

Dale's pumpkin is going to tape about 1810+- depending on inches slightly gained or lost on a pallet. If that's the figure it will be the second largest by size ever grown. If he gains just a few inches on the pallet it will in fact be the largest ever. Crazy.

Actually Dale is getting ahead start on next season the plant looks so good I think he can keep her going all winter and start May 2012 taping around 4000 lbs....lol. Good Luck Dale! I'll see you at the scales soon.

Wow , thanks everybody..its getting close to crunch time , good thing there is no pressure..lol..hopefully things will work out..I'll post a final ott on Tues ,then the weigh-off is the next day on wed around 2 pm alaska time.. some good weather is on the way for the last days ..hope it helps
