OTT chart might be a good starting point.The field pumpkins also vary a lot with density and wall thickness.You can put em on a scale without picking

Great idea CoJoe...tried it w/ 5 different Lopes today, the skales never moved...do they need to be bigger than a baseball? Thankx...Peace, Wayne

Hmm we have always found they are light enough to pick up and use a small scale.

based on the little bit of weighing and investigating that i have done, they range from about 20% light to right on chart, but never heavy. i have been trying to look at benchmark type data with mine, but i have a very small data set to work with at this point. I typically take cc measurements. it appears that around 55 inches cc will get you one over 50#. thats about as far as i have gotten. my 63 pounder from last year taped at 64.3#, so close to chart. some of the weighoffs did measurements last year--look at GPC results.
