a dang groundhog had a feast on my kin today. it ate about half in deep and 2foot wide. i put captan on the kin and 3 fans, didnt have sulfur. traps are set, gonna beat the he!! out of him if i catch him, and fencing around it tomorrow! will this slow growth?

thats a pretty large area of damage. as long as you get it dried up and disinfected it should make it. moth balls around the pumpkin also keeps rodents away.

It seems that you have better weather over in the US but suffer more threats to your pumpkins. Sorry to hear of the damage. Pumpkin and hog roast?

cover the bottom of the trap with cardboard as they do not like the feel of the mesh, use green apples and frozen margarita mix, the latter came from the trapper that traps at my work.
