983...there is a good grower and a real nice guy in Thunder Bay that you should contact and perhaps he could mentor you on growing these giants.
As I remember his name is Bruce, maybe one of the other Ontario growers could provide you with his contact info.

Just to be sure I would take and use soemething skinny and lightly poke the center of the blossum and make it doesnt go through to the cavity. fingers crossed for you

If there are any cracks or splits that go all the way to the center cavity then it's game over. If it does not make it to the center cavity then you're still in the running.

Leave it alone. If shes going to split, it will split wide open in a few days and there is nothing to be done about it.

The only real concern I would have is the hole in the center of the blossom end knob. Hopefully it doesn't go into the cavity. I had one that went into the cavity a few years ago. I think this may be what Ron(C.R.B.) was getting at. Good luck! If you do check it out, I'd do it lightly as Ron said.
