Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!

They're driving me to drinking, and they don't have to drive me very far, either.

The pumpkin will probably survive, but the rodents won't!!!

When do the rest of you start your rodent treatments?

I have used waxed mouse bait with good success in the past. This is grain treated with zinc phosphide and then waxed to protect from the weather. It is primaily used in orchards to keep the mice from chewing the bark on trees. Sprinkle some around each plant and pumpkin....no more problems

I use 1 1/2" PVC cut to about 8 inches long. Then put your bait blocks inside of that. It gives the block even more protection from the weather and gives the mice a sense of "security" while eating it inside the tube.

Exactly what Pumpkin Buck said accept ours were old dryer vent pipes with the ends slightly concaved

The damage was done under the pumpkin, where the fruit rests on the sand, so I have to get on my stomach to treat the gnaw marks.

Next year, the rodent buffet and traps will be set out as soon as I choose the keeper.
