Looking at the weather data I can find online about Isreal it looks like you should start seeds in December or January. Once it is above 30c there will be too much stress on the plant.

ok. its strange, beacuse our local species of pumpkins are before harvesting in this days, and the temperature here in the last 2 months is between 28-40c. SO HOW THE LOCAL PUMPKINS HERE GROW? IS THE GIANT PUMPKIN NEEDS DIFFRENT CONDITIONS THEN OUR LOCAL BREED PUMPKINS?

Those pumpkins must be a heat tolerant variety.

chen, your local species of pumpkin are prbly a lot shorter growin season than Atlantic Giants!! AG's prbly...60 days for plant growth...then 90 more days for fruit growth. The local pkns are prbly 30 days or more less than that in days to maturity!!! Peace, Wayne

As long as it does not frost you should be fine planting in the winter. If it does frost cover the plant with something to keep the plant from freezing.

chen , most of the growers in the United States and Canada plan on a 5 to 6 month growing season starting in April and ending in September or October when most of our pumpkin contest and weigh -in's are . Hope this helps you .
