I have alot of what I thought were stink bugs, but after talking at length with a company that sells traps for them, I determined that they may not be stink bugs. THe one or two that I killed did not smell nor have what appeared to be a hard shell. Is there another bug out there that looks very similar. I did not have any last year and I am blaming all of my woes on the mushroom compost I added this year,

It could be a squash bug which is a type of stinkbug. They do not have traps for squash bugs.

I use a "stinkbug" type trap in my garden I made myself. Only bugs I see are in the trap. =) Seems squash bugs and stink bugs are attracted to most of the same things.

Bill, I would love to make my own stick bug trap..can you share?
Another bug that looks like a stinkbug is an ambush bug.

IPM makes a squash bug trap. Matter of fact, several companies make squash bug traps.....
