will plywood rot the pumpkin?

I used 3/4" pressure treated plywood last year and it didn't rot my pumpkin. This year I put a bunch of holes in the plywood and put sand on top of that to help the pumpkin slide as it grows. Seems to be working so far.

Todd Skinner uses it all the time, hes never had any problems, but i think his was treated.

Use plywood with sand underneath it so the fruit can slide a bit.
