We received very unfortunate news about Steve Jepsen today.
It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform everyone that Steve was given only days to live.
He is at home with Hospice care trying to make him as comnfortable as possible.
Lorraine wanted to thank everyone for their support and friendship.
If there is anyone near CT that would like to donate a few small field pumpkins, Lorraine would really appreciate it.
drop me an email if you have any.
Let's everyone say a prayer for Steve, I can only hope that he moves on to a better place where he no longer suffers.
Tom

Steve and I grated each other enough times. However, the site seems half of what it was without his posts and replies. It's going to be hard knowing we're not going to be reading anymore from him. I wish him and his family all the peace and comfort during this time. Maybe someone knows an award we can start in his name.

I've never met Steve, but reading back through old diary postings and listening to people talk about him, he was a very generous and knowledgeable man. It is a horrible thing to have to go through. I feel his families pain because my family and I just went through this in March with my wife's father. My deepest sympathy for Steve's family and all who knew him well. Scott,Jen,and Shannon

I am a better person and grower because I have known Steve Jepsen....Tremor...as known on BP.com. When I first started out with pumpkins...I sprayed them and almost killed them....he emailed me direct....for my phone number...so he could give it to Larry Checkon....to call me....typical of Steve's caring temperment...a class guy, smart and always willing to help. When I was in the hospital, Steve was one of several who called me up.... Thank You Steve...may God Bless you...and your family...you will forever be remembered

This is such a hard time in life, losing someone you care for. I hope the knowledge that Steve was loved, admired and respected gives you solice that his life was well lived. For Steve I hope his transition is as easy as possible and for all the Jepson family know that many are lifting you up in prayer in certitude that a loving God will see you through this difficult time. God speed Steve.

Steve passed away today very comfortably without any pain or discomfort. I will miss Steve so much. Even after he could not grow any more, he was always there for advice for everyone. He formed the CT Pumpkin Club and took me on as the VP. He will always be Chairmen Emeritus .
