If you had a pumpkin this size on day 10, would you keep it or would you still grow a pumpkin thats on the main vine that is growing slower?

If you have a decent one going on the main I would take the one on the main. If the one on the main is showing signs on any problems I'd consider the secondary fruit. Secondary fruit usuallly grow faster for the first few weeks but don't usually get as big in the long run.

Mark,
That's a good problem to have. Personally, I would cut it if I had one on the main because for me, one growing that fast has a very high likelihood of splitting. 6-7 inches circ a day max otherwise booooooooom.

Side vine pumpkins commonly start out fast from what I've seen. However they also slow down much faster than the pumpkin on the main. Go with the main fruit if you can.

The pumpkin on my 734 Daho day 15 is 54ins. Day 15. I finally got one to set on the main at day 5.
