When I positioned my fruits , there was one that I didn't pay much attention to because I didn't think it was going to grow.....It grew fast & now I find that it's sitting on the outgoing main vine & putting terrible stress on the stem.........I tried to reposition the vine , but it's stuck under the fruit......do I cut the vine to save the pumpkin???..........any advice appreciated.

If most of your plant is behind the pumpkin, I would probably say go ahead and cut it.
How far out is it on the main ?
You can grow some terts from your last secondaries to grow past your pumpkin, if you need mor plant.

Thanks for your reply.........it's a little over 10 ft. out......the one I thought was going to grow was at 12 ft. , until the heatwave.
