I planted in a new location on my property this season. My fall soil test was decent, just a little low on nitrogen. I did not do a spring test like I should have. We had a ton of rain in April and May. I have been wondering if I lost some nutrients with all that rain in the spring.

I did add some nitrogen and a little calcium in the form of gypsum in late May, then did my final till. I went on the light side with both.

My plants look very healthy, plant growth has been super, but the pumpkins are just not gaining like they did last year. It seems like they do good up until day 20, and then they never really ramped up into the 20-30 a day gains.
I have two that are past day 40 and the daily gains are both in the low single digits. Very dissapointing. My root systems are still growing, as I can see roots near the surface going farther every week.I have the majority of both plants dead ended. Again, the plants look healthy.

Any ideas ?

Is it possible to have healthy plants and be lacking some kind of nutrient ?
