I used this product about a month ago to kill off some cucumber beetles. It was very effective, but since then my plants are growing a lot slower and not producing many flowers. And NO new pumpkins? Has anyone else used this product?
What can I use on the plants to increase flower growth? What types of fertilizer?
thank you.

I ahve used it for the same reason and also find that it works well, and especially on my giant cabbages. I have found no notice of reduced growth but would be interested to know if there was a connection.

I also noticed a setback after using this. I think you can get just as good control by mixing it weaker.Maybe one third of what the lable says. Be careful using it in hot weather. It is a good product but use with caution!!!

I use the powder on leafy plants like cabbage and lettuce with no problem. But I used it on some pepper plants last year and it really stunned them.I now stick with the liquid and mix it with water and spay my plants with no problems.

i dont believe that sevin is the cause of your problems? although i dont know how much you used so i cant really say.anything in excess could cause problems.

I found that Sevin didn't do a great job on killing insects, especially squash bugs, so I switched to imidacloprid and bifenthrin (Merit, Talstar). I also felt that Sevin was a little hard on the AG plants--leaves dried out, didn't look healthy.

Did you do a soil test around pollination time? A lot can change soil-wise between April and July.
