we had 6 plants.our 2nd biggest plant started showing yellowing toward the tip of main vine.the affected leafs slowly turned from healthy dark green to shades of yellow and started to wilt. the yellowing and wilting spread and resulted to removing the plant from the patch.at this time no other plant showed these symptoms? our largest plant has 1 secondary vine that now seems to show a slight yellowing of the leafs that reminds us of the plant that was removed from the patch. have not over fed or under fed the plants.any thoughts or suggestions would help

I have a plant went lite green leaves with yellowing on new growth!the older leves near stump turned really goldish ,yellowish! plant is toast, kin aborted at 200 pds,its in my soil disease issues.I can see the Mosaic Virus in the leaves of my 1592 Platte.& my 905 V/M Squash is a lite green also!I believe the virus is in the seed when you plant it (sometimes)If you have puckered leaves(Quilting)its the Mosiac Virus.Ive seen it in some growers diarys! These diseases are in the soil, weeds, inscects, hard to beat,Some plants survive with it,most dont! Not sure what you have!Good Luck!!

Sounds like YVD, it's very prevalent this year. Have you noticed any squash (stink) bugs on your plant this season?

Send some of the infected tissue into a lab to get tested. You will never know unless you test it. It could be many different things.

I don't know the science of YVD. But, try Rootshield next season. It seems to work on soil-borne pathogens.

Root sheild will not work. YVD is spread by an insect (squash bug). You need to stay up on insecticides and make sure it does not rain every day which washes off your insecticides (weather is tough to control).
