On the pumpkns.com website it says the first version of Pumpkin Patch Pro was released July 20. How come I can't find it in the App Store?

I'm trying to figure that out myself right now. The Dave Bednarski (the creator) said it was approved and would take 4-8 hours to become available in the app search engine but that hasn't happened yet! Also it will be about 2 days till the Verizon and OS 4.3/ earlier versions are available. Apple has been pretty tough to work with communication wise. We are pretty much at their mercy. That's why I didn't make any announcement here yet.

I gotta convince Dave that there is a huge demand for the Droid version. Droid users please post your request here!

What's a Droid? We don't have them in Canada. That's because our quality standards are much higher in Canada and only IPhone passed. iPhone baby!!!!! Lol.

You should be able to click on the "Available in App Store" logo on the pumpkns.com and it will take you to the app? Or here directly, http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pumpkin-pro/id450139138?ls=1&mt=8
Looking into a Droid version. We don't have the resources to *really* develop on two platforms concurrently at a pace that would allow us to add new features/tools. One will always be behind the other, lengthy release times.
I'd like to get the app to a point by next summer were we're aggregating growth data from "seed to scale" from all participating app users and make the data available into a single "publicly" available repository... for the brains out there to try & make sense of it.
That said, our next development priority is either Droid version or update the iOS version to add functionality to track/store data inside the app (and export) on specific pumpkins.

Awe crap Ken seems like we have a similar problem! Were not exactly making money like angry birds lol. Cost of our project so far is in the $2400 range. No chance of making that back. Hats off to you no matter what formats are supported I know it takes a lot of work!

Apparently the app only works for newer iphones & Ipod Touch on ver 4.3 software. My 1st gen touch will not let it load.

Anyone having problems needs to hook up to iTunes and update their os.
Ya, I was thinking there is no way this could be a profitable venture. How many giant pumpkin growers are there with iPhones? I got the app. Thanks so much. Personally, I would pay twice as much if you could enter the name of the cross and have it date stamped and saved. Or just have a place for the cross and date and I could take a screen shot :-)

Pickeringchris, 4.0 version OS isn't available for the 1st gen touch and some early iphones. I also bought it while I was on my PC. If I would have tried it on my touch, I would have known it wasn't compatible.
PS: I am not complaining, I have no problem donating money to guys that made this great app even if I can't use it now or later with my current ipod.
