My plant has been slow all season. Now I'm wondering if my fruit is slow also. It is 10 days old now and shaped like a football and about the size of a football (NFL regulation size). Is that not bad or am I just impatient waiting for the big gains??????

In my patch that's normal, the 10 day measurements vary widely I never measure or worry till past the 15 day mark which is when most of my fruit kick in depending on the weather.

Keeping your plant healthy and fed is number 1. Each plant has its own growth rate as well as the fruit. I think when you get to day 20 to 30 your gonna be really surprised when It takes off. Mine were slow last year but my thinking was that I'd rather have one over 500 lbs. Than to blow it up and have nothing for the fall. You'll be amazed how fast they kick in when they take off!! Just my 2 cents. Good luck to ya!! Erik

Patience...This heat maybe what you needed...the rest of us are choking...if everything with the soil samples are good and the water is ample you'll be alright.. the plant will tell ya...yellow is bad...blue is bad...somewhere in between is good,....watch the plant...GrowEmBig! Chuck
