I've always read that you want the plant to grow from north to south because you will get better exposure from the sun. With the amount of sunburn I am getting on leaves this year I am seriously thinking of going south to north next year to get less exposure!! Any comments!!

I never even thought about the direction before but mine is growing south to north and i'm still getting a lot of sun burn the last couple of days.

It makes no difference. The leaves turn into the sun.

Thanks- I really don't like the idea of having the area shaded. I've never had a problem befor this year. Could be genetics also!!!

Joe, genetics do play a role. I have 3 plants and 2 get the exact same amount of sunlight and are next to each other. We were at 98 today and the 2 plants handle it completely different.

I have plants going north-south, south-north, east-west & west to east all are equally growing well. Only one plant has any significant sunburn which probably due to the reflected heat off the soil in that location.
