I am getting a wicked rash wherever the "hairs" on the stems abrade my skin. Does anyone else have this problem? Looks like I'll be wearing long sleeves and gloves for the rest of the season.

I get it too if my skin is scratched by the plant.

It is worse when it's hot and your skin's pores are wide open. Try working around the plant at the cooler times of the day.

I itch on my arms like I'm wearing a wool shirt. Just another side effect of our addiction. lol.

I take an old pair of white socks, cut the toe out and wear the socks on my arms. Your arms do get a little hot, but no scratching later.

Mine usually clears up in Mid to Late October.

The allergy that gets me in the patch is the deer flies. 4 bites so far, and 2 resulted in an eye swelled shut for a day. I had my left hand swelled up from the wrist to the fingers. It takes 2 to 3 days to fully go away.
