Every year we move our patch, but always struggle with Powdery mildew. Locates in Northeren Indiana. Anybody have a suggestion for a fungicide that will stop this stuff??

Some like 10% milk mixed with water.
Others like sulfur.
I use Daconil.

A combination of fungicides is needed. If you use just one you will probably get PM anyways. This year I plan on using Daconil, Eagle, and Stylet oil. I have not used this combo before but I think it will work.

As a preventative, nothing beats milk, 30% diluted skim milk powder. If it's too late then go nuclear like Dan suggested.

Andy, do I spray that mixture right on the leaves, or on the ground around the plant, or both? Thanks for the tips everyone.

mix the milk up per directions for 1.5 quarts but add to a gallon of water instead of only 1.5 qts, and yes spray directly on leaves.

I got a little last year, and stopped it from progressing with quintec, pristine and eagle.
I've been told eagle is the best, I'm spraying milk once a week starting now, Actinovate every week 3 days later, Daconil every other week on a different day, eagle once a month starting last month, and quintec twice this month about 3 weeks apart. Adjust as needed.

along with a good fungicide program you can try using a soluble silicon product like Growth Products Sil-Guard. soluble silicon has been proven to strengthen the cells walls preventing PM spores from penetrating and making the needed connection to feed off the plant.

Do you spray actinovate directly on the upper leaves too or just below for the soil level! Quintec will be used in rotation with eagle here. Stylet oil is a nice cure after it shows. Also known as clean leaf in Canada. See phil and jane hunt's diary from last year.

Well, there are times when you need to take it up a knotch especially if your area is prone to PM or if you had serious PM issues in the past. And there are people like me who never had PM issues until late September or early October and then I don't care.

Eagle 20 has never failed me. If you hit the plant and then repeat in 2 days you got it all for a bunch. Tip from Trevor

If you really wanna kill it cold. Get a solution of 10 percent bleach and 2 percent dawn dishwashing liquid with water. Put it in the ortho dial sprayer set at 4 ounces to a gallon. Spray it on the top of the leaves. The dawn will allow a small amount of bleach to kill the fungus cold in its tracks. I'd use this as a last resort. I use neptunes harvest every few days followed by doconil every week.
