John, Hey how’s it going? I always take off the little vines as soon as I see them. That’s off the secondary’s I mean, I really don’t take off the flowers until I have one already pollinated and I know it is for sure. As soon as I start to bury the vines I break off the tendrils, they just get it in the way as I bury the vines, Hope this helps!

It really does'nt matter when you do it, I just do it when it comes time to bury the vines. All the best!

Tendrils growing up I trim. Out to the side or down I bury them to anchor the vine. Like Ben said keep flowers til you've got 1 going. Don't want to force a road trip for pollen if you don't need to.
