Hey Joe, what time do you spray? Never during the day if sunny and warm. You have pics?

many growers in mich. have stopped using seven due to this problem. it seems to be too harsh on the leaves. I prefer ortho max on mine.

I used Sevin too, and Pumkin Cholo said the same thing to me, Steve. I also use Ortho with Bifetherin (sp?) and will probably stick to just that going forward. My leaves have been beat up by numerous things from hail, tree limbs to me just being careless with bamboo sticks, and if there is a spot insecticide that gets the job done without burning and drying I'll try it.

Phat Joe, The last couple days I have had some leaves burn in the sun, so thats likely what it is as I'm getting the same weather as you. The sun / UV damage will occur this time of year before the secondary root system really gets established. If its mainly the almost developed leaves near the ends of the vines then thats what it likely is. If you have burning evenly over the entire plant then I would guess it was something you did. Sevin is hard on the leaves (and illegal in Ontario) ;) I would add a different illegal product into the rotation like most other growers, rather than spraying Sevin every week.

I wouldn't have thought of sevin causing a problem but I did notice some of the same symtoms on my other garden veggies that were sprayed with it. I think I'll put it away for a while and see. Thanks for the info. The help I'm getting on this chat line is amamazing. We are competing against each other yet helping at the same time. Thats true sportsmanship or should I call it growmanship??????
