I have a plant that is growing in a strange way. It has only a main vine. There are no secondaries. It is the straightest growing vine I have ever seen. The vine is about 8 feet long.
Has anyone else ever seen this?

I never had but I guess stranger things have happened. Over the years some seeds get messed up.

I believe there are others posts on the same topic and it is due to a nutrient deficiency

Save the seeds. You might be on to something. A space saving pumpkin plant.

PS: If it is a nutrient thing save the dirt and sell that.

Last year I had a plant that was mostly a main. In the first 6 feet or so, I had secondaries. After that, only the main grew. I didn't have that problem before and I don't have that problem this year. It has to be something genetic.
Post a pic if you get a chance.

Finally after about 10 feet of vine I am now getting my first set of secondaries near the stump and a female blossom is starting. I am now getting excited that I might have a set to cross.
