I was out at the patch tonight giving my plant a shot of compost tea around the root zone. I hve lots of tea and had lots of time so I hit the whole future patch with tea. Will this benefit my soil or am I waisting my time.? Should I wait till the root zone grows out to where I am applying it??

It can't hurt nothing being in the soil before the roots get there. Alot of micro nutrients.

It's an excellent idea. It will speed decomposition of organic matter and help with compaction and aeration of the soil.
