What is your best method of making your pumpkin have a nice, flat bottom? I've always used sand on pulp mill fabric...and I have come to the conclusion that the sand contributes to a concave bottom, rather than a flat bottom?

Dry sand will get you a flat bottom. Wet sand doesn't move and you will get a concave bottom.
