Ken Sweet pollinated one on his 1810 two days ago. I can't remember for sure what he used for pollen. I think he used either 1725 sweet or 1605 sweet.

Both our 1810's here look real good. Looking at 1810 self (already done) and 1810 x sib (Hopkins x Stevens).

BTW. Ken's 1810 has not produced a male flower with any pollen so far. What a bummer :-(

Steve, in my experience plants that produce males but not pollen usually abort the females eventually. I've had them stick to a couple hundred pounds then go soft.
Has anyone ever had a plant that produced male flowers, but never any pollen, grow a mature fruit?

PA, check out my diary from last year. I grew a 594.5 pounder on a plant that was borderline sterile, the only thing is that the pumpkin ended up being sterile itself.

This morning I pollinated the 1810.5 with the 1725 Harp and the 1725 Harp with the 1810.5 both opened this morning, it must be a sign.

The one plant I had with no pollen would not produce a pumpkin larger than 28 inches circ before aborting, in 2009.

I guess I got lucky. It did abort most of its females (90%), but I figured it had a little bit to do with it being one of the hottest summers in memory.
