I tried it under what I thought were the best conditions (used pollen the following year). All aborted. I remember stories from when I started that someone was sort of having success holding it in liquid nitrogen, but that was 50/50 on pollination, and no idea on seed viability.

I tried one year as well and it did not work.

I tried it as well...I had pollen from an 845 bobier, 723 bobier, 1370 Rose.....nothing worked, tossed it all out.

There has been little evidence to support the claim that freezing pollen can be done. At least by back yard gardeners. I certainly would love to freeze some proven pollen but evidence suggets that ots a long shot at best.

I've tried a few times. flash freeze with liquid nitrogen, store at -80C in sealed containers, all failed.
