Continuing from 1st post: His memory has been nastily compromised and thoughts are jumbled. What he can actually think, comes out sorely the opposite and rarely anymore makes sense. It's rather sad - no I should say it It is sad that a man like Steve should be brought down to this level. I wouldn't wish this disease on my worse enemy. The lesions have pretty much converged over his brain and compromised everything he once held so dear - his conversations are limited and concentration falters so easily. His legs continue to have a mind of their own and his muscles are more or less searing, where he can't control straightening them - it is painful for him if we try to. He's lost his ability to see from his left eye, but for some reason his right eye has gained back some vision over the last several days. He can't eat very well on his own and needs assistance most times. He lies in bed most of the time since it's so hard to get him out of it. The dementia is really one of the worse side effects. If anyone ever knows or knew someone with this - you can detest it's rather frightening. If he could look down on himself and see what state this disease has brought him to, I am sure he would say "God Help me".
