they are here. spent a lot of time in the patch yesterday and then a good four hours this morning and saw a slow flying svb about 10 minutes ago that had to of just emerged. it was sunning itself on a leaf at 11 oclock. the fly swatter was in the house....doh! keep one handy in the patch and spray if you haven't already started to.

I seen one in the patch yesterday here in Kentucky. Didnt have my fly swatter, but still got the bugger. Slap him with my hands. Dead as a door nail.

you guys must be fast swatters,Those things dart around Quick!I carry a spray bottle set on jet stream,then hit them at 5-6 feet away!!My meirt best be working havent seen them in michigan yet has anybody else??

It's a good idea to keep a fly swatter in the patch IF you deal with SVB , if you spot one on a leaf sunning themselfs you can normally get em with one smack , just make sure to find it and finish it off if you need to . Even it you are using meirt , traps or some other product smacking em with a swatter is instant !!!

Just setup 3 traps next to my patch this morning. I have not seen any yet.

yep george, that electric racquet hurts....thanks for telling me to try it out by touching it with my finger.....yowowza!!!!!! you're lucky chuck huddle doesn't have a pace maker. lol.

Doesnt swatting damage the leaf??I set trap out today early for Michigan, came home at 1 pm 2 were fighting to get in trap went to house to get camera,when I returned there were 2 SVBs in trap!

You gotta be tricky and fast with the racket..If they land on the leaf I cover it with the racket so they will fly into it..I have hit some in flight..

I caught 2 today in trap!there in the north folks early this year they were little guys,so I think I caught them real early! Traps work GREAT!!!

Saw first svb here also--was happy I sprayed with merit and talstar couple days ago.Got traps out and svb was heading for them as soon as I got into the patch!
